Maintaining Expectancy Gifts

Expectancy Gifts are “future” gifts such as bequests, gifts of insurance, etc. When the actual gift is received and entered as a transaction in Andar/360, the matching Expectancy Gift can be linked to the actual gift.

Accounts that are related to the Expectancy Gifts (for example, financial advisors, solicitors, etc.) can be recorded in Gift Relationships on Expectancy Gifts. These Gifts Relationships can be copied from the Expectancy Gift to the actual gift.

Key Performance Indicators

The KPI feature helps you define and measure progress toward your organizational goals. You will be able to set goals for virtually any number in Andar/360. For example, you will be able to measure and set goals for the number of communications, number of moves, number of touch points, tasks completed, etc.

All measures are recorded daily but can be aggregated over weeks, months, etc., against goals set per period. You can monitor them on dashboards using bar charts, thermometers, and traffic light indicators.

Featured Enhancements List

This is the last chance to indicate your interest in any of this month’s Featured Enhancements.

A 'key metric' is a statistic that gives a measure of an account's overall health and performance. All organizations, from non-profits to multi-national corporations, need to track key metrics to understand their performance accurately.

Are you using Andar's Ranking & Segmentation to quickly and easily provide a multi-year reading of an account's key metrics on a Bio Tab?

If so, let us know which refinements to this functionality you're in favor of.

If not, to learn more about Ranking & Segmentation, see our Customer Support article (Note that the MIG module is required for full functionality; learn more about MIG in this Fact Sheet).

Output in MIG: Email Versus PDF

Have you wondered how Andar/360 chooses when to send an email and when to output a PDF?

The behaviour is consistent across the various “letters” (CB Allocation Letters, General Letters, Receipts, Statements, Thank You Letters.) Whenever the record for an account has an email address associated with it, and one of the email output options is chosen, the output will be sent via email; for those records where no email address is selected, a PDF will be produced.

Special pecking orders can be assigned or account warehouses created to differentiate recipients' needs and desires.

Threshold Amounts for Thank You Letter Codes

When creating Thank You Letter Code Associations, it's important to keep in mind that the lower threshold amount can cause unexpected behaviour. If a code has a lower threshold of $0.00, it will become the default for all transactions (in lieu of Manual) and be mistakenly applied to transactions with pledge amounts greater than the upper threshold specified for your various codes. This lower threshold set to $0.00 assigns the wrong letter template to donors. To learn more, visit the Customer Support project linked below.

Transaction Letter Code Associations are found under the Andar/360 Main Menu > Communications > Thank You Letters > Transaction Letter Code Associations.

Consistent Images in Reports

In System Preferences, there is an option to include a URL to an image that will be included in report headers (System Preferences > Andar Reports > MIG > Report Headers > URL for report header image). Some customers have encountered inconsistency in whether these images are displayed in all reports. This is typically due to how quickly the image may be retrieved from the network location as the report writing program will skip the image if it cannot be retrieved in two seconds. One option to consider is to have the image in your File Library and use the URL for that location.

Have We Talked Lately?

Did you know you can choose to only look at accounts that you have communicated with since a specific date? For example, you can filter your view from the first date of the current month.
